Registration for Terrigal Wamberal Little Athletics is done directly through the Little Athletics NSW website – Once registered, our Club will notify you of the date and time to collect your registration numbers and uniform and complete any remaining paperwork – such as volunteer registration and child protection declarations.  All new members must bring proof of their child’s age (e.g., birth certificate or passport) to that collection day to finalise their registration(s).

Season Start Date

Typically, Friday night competitions start in early October.  However, due to COVID-19, our 2020-21 season start date has been pushed back to 6 November (to allow Terrigal United Football Club, which also uses Duffy’s Oval, to finish up its shortened season).  All competition dates and other club events are published to the Club Calendar on the home page.

The club membership fees for season have been reduced to correspond with the reduction in our competition season due to COVID-19:

            $125.00    1st child

            $120.00    2nd and subsequent children

$100.00    for Tiny Tots (must turn 4 years old prior to 31 December 2020)

Membership fees are payable directly to LANSW and, per their policy, are non-refundable.

When you register, you have an option to pay $25 for a two week trial.  The trials must be completed in the first two weeks of the season.  If you then decide to register in full, your $25 trial fee will be credited toward your full registration fee.  No results will be recorded, nor any points calculated toward year-end awards, for events completed during the trial sessions. But this is great way to see if your child enjoys the track and field events of Little Athletics. Uniforms are not compulsory for trialists.

Age Group

The Age group your Child/ren are registered into is strictly governed by LANSW. For the current registration age chart, click here.

Wearing the correct club uniform with registration number, sponsor patch and age patch is compulsory. The club sells the required uniform – club singlet/crop top and club shorts.  Plain black shorts purchased from any retail outlet may be worn.

The registration number is to be affixed to the front center of the club singlet or crop top.

The age group number is to be affixed to the top left-hand corner of the club singlet OR on the left-hand lower corner of the club shorts.

The sponsor patch is to be affixed to the top right-hand corner of the club singlet/crop top. All patches must not obscure sponsor information. See example of placement here.

Dual Registration with ANSW

Members who are U12 or above automatically receive a free dual membership with Athletics New South Wales (ANSW) for participation in their events which must be activated with ANSW.  Members need to associate with a senior ANSW club at the time of their LANSW registration. Most TWLA athletes choose Mingara Athletics Club as their senior club. You will need to contact your selected senior club to organise payment for a uniform and collect your senior club registration number.
